Our take

Last updated 14 October 2026

Rosebud's site lets you describe a game, or start from a template, and edit it in the browser with an AI named Rosie. A free plan with 8,000 credits and no credit card is stated. Commercial rights, removal of Rosebud branding, code download, and a Windows export are paid features, but the subscription dollar prices were not in the text we could read.

Best for People who want a playable browser prototype from a description before they export code.

Pros

  • You can create, play, remix, and share a game from a prompt or template on the free plan.
  • The editor can also generate images, sprite animation, sound, skyboxes, and 3D models, with approximate credit costs printed.
  • Pro and above is where the page says you can download project code and export a Windows build for Steam.

Cons

  • Subscription prices were not visible; the only dollar amounts we saw were a $10 referral offer.
  • Private projects start above free, and commercial rights start at the 10x Dev tier.
  • Credits expire on a reset schedule, and exact cost depends on the model and the size of the edit.
